Community Development Worker (Hybrid, 16 hrs/week)
Leeds Baby Bank | £12.60 per hour | 12-month contract (with intention to extend)
Leeds Baby Bank is launching a new Community Hub to support parents of babies and young children living in poverty. We’re looking for a proactive, compassionate Community Development Worker to build partnerships, coordinate empowering parent sessions, and help create a dignified, welcoming space for families.
You will:
● Build relationships with partners who can deliver wellbeing, budgeting, digital, wellbeing and confidence-building sessions
● Plan and coordinate weekly activities in our new Community Hub
● Support parents experiencing poverty, social isolation, and mental health challenges
● Promote sessions through simple social media and communication activity
● Collect data and feedback to demonstrate the impact of our work
You have:
● Strong networking and partnership-building skills
● Experience in community development, outreach or family support
● Excellent communication and organisational skills
● A compassionate, non-judgemental approach
● Confidence using digital tools and social media
Contract: 12 months initially (with intention to extend)
Hours: 16 per week (hybrid working)
